Indications/Uses
Helps relieve pain & discomfort from headache, back pain, muscle pain, dysmenorrhea, dental pain, sore throat, cold & flu or joint pain. Reduces fever.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Childn ≥12 yr 1 or 2 cap. Mild pain 1 cap. More severe pain 2 cap, then repeat dose after 4-6 hrs if necessary. Do not exceed 6 cap in 24 hrs. Use at the lowest effective dose for shortest possible time. Do not give to childn <12 yr.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole w/ water.
Contraindications
Severe heart failure. Treatment of peri-op pain in the setting of CABG. History of GI bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAIDs therapy; active or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/haemorrhage.
Special Precautions
Increased risk of serious CV thrombotic events, MI & stroke; serious GI adverse events including bleeding, ulceration & perforation of the stomach or intestines. Long-term administration may result to renal papillary necrosis & other renal injury; renal toxicity in patients whom renal prostaglandins have a compensatory role in the maintenance of renal perfusion; patients at risk of renal effects are those w/ impaired renal function, heart failure, liver dysfunction, those taking diuretics & ACE inhibitors. Advanced renal disease. Elderly.
